More of an enthusiastic amateur though rather then building anything useful. I make my flags in exactly the same way (see- convergence at work) but instead of ripstop nylon I use hi-viz vests- luminous and have those reflective stripes on them. Even more useful for attracting attention in the bar.
If it's the same triangular deco trapeze that Digs was sketching in the pub then you need to wrestle the credit back off him 'cos he was claming it was his idea, the chipmunk cheeked charletain.
