Hi Folks,

so far we have:

1. Reeve
2. Callisto
3. MDemon
4. DaveJ
5. ?

Everything will be assembled and tested and then one of the wires will be cut (probably the -ve lead). So you'll hve to make that connection yourself, screw the case together and test that it will work, basically so I can say that you assembled and tested it yourself. It sounds daft I know but I don't want a call from the Accident Helpline Everything will be tested before I send them out and will be working bfore I cut the power lead. The final cost will depend on the final price of the parts and what case I use (I'm planning on something as small as possible) but will be in the region of £30.

These meters are loads simpler than the Oxy Hacker ones or the El Cheapo kit. The meters are designed to measure the ratio between two inputs (the sensor and a static reference) so are perfect for the application. With the others you need to identify the right bit to chop off the meter and replace it with another resistor, a real pain.

A couple of questions, who wants backlit meters and who doesn't? The plain ones are slightly cheaper, use less battery and will only require one switch. You can have whatever you like.

And lastly do you want sensors? I'd recommend getting a batch from Oxycheq but I've found a supplier in Coventry that do an equivalent for half the price, don't know how reliable they are. I'm ordering one tomorrow to check them out. If they are OK then I'll let you know.

Cheers,

Stuart
