Have to say that I have a bit of a problem with this - are you trying to imply that unless someone directly experiences something then they can't have a valid opinion on it? Example - I am white. Do I feel that discrimination against ethnic minorities is abhorrent in all forms? Yes I do. Is my opinion fundamentally flawed because I am a white living in a white dominated society? No, I don't think it is.
As an aside, I actually think that the Prince of Wales has a job which involves a lot of effort and sacrifice (privacy anyone?). I wouldn't fancy it.
