Smile Common Sense Approach on YD.

Hi All,

Well the hard bit's over - you've joined!

The 'rules' in this section, such as they are, are here for the benefit of all YD'ers: Admins, Moderators and Members alike; new, current and the 'Old and Bold'.

We try and run an easy and mostly casual ship at YD, that way folks are comfortable enough to post and share their honest thoughts, experiences, hopes, fears and most importantly - their BANTER! [except of course where a topic needs to be treated seriously and/or with respect.]

YD is a 'broad church' and a completely web-based set of divers (no sub's to pay!), and we welcome and accept divers from ANY recognised diver training agency or school from any part of the globe. [NB: Please don't attempt the old 'PADI vs BSAC' chestnut of an argument here, as it's been done to death and will get removed.]

We also welcome divers at any stage in their diving 'career' and development: from the 'newbie' and 'novice', the recreational diver, through to the technical diver and the Rebreather user - we even welcome the Commercial Diver too!

All we ask is that you post in a courteous, friendly, and thoughtful manner - any 'trolls' or 'flaming' will be removed straight away. You'll appreciate that we reserve the right to edit, move, remove, delete or alter any post or thread which we might feel is not in or reflect the best interests of YD. That said, we are not, by any stretch of the imagination, a censorious or overly moderated board. Bottom-line: we're all adults, so please act like one

Being as we are all (mostly) adults and should be largely self-policing - the language at times can be a little Anglo-Saxon and 'lower-decks', but we try and keep this to a minimum and you are at perfectly liberty to report, anonymously, any post you see to any of the Moderators on the board (i.e. only the Mods will know it's been sent and by whom).

Rather than go into realms of 'Dos and Don'ts' and 'Can and Can'ts' - please take some time to have a good look around the boards, judge the 'House Style', get to know us - and ENJOY!

Welcome aboard!

Jay, Andy2Tanx, Bren, And, Moray & Daz
