The Hagen-Poiseuille equation for laminar flow of a gas shows that resistance is proportional to length and to the inverse square of the radius. So, if you double the hose length and halve its diameter, the resistance will go up by a factor of 8.

Within limits, the total volume of the loop is not critical, so you need to make sure your hoses are of an adequate diameter.
