Popped along to the Halcyon website this evening...

...and was surprised to see an announcement on the site that, effective immediately, the Halcyon 18w HID light is to feature a new longer cowling and an 'ultrabright' reflector. If you look very closely at the image, I also notice that Halcyon have added 'strain relief' to both ends of the umbilical cord.
Now call me old fashioned but am I the only one that is a bit surprised how similar these changes are to some of the improvements that a certain celebrated designer of 21w HID units had incorporated into his light units? Follow the thread 'Proper Torch' elsewhere and you'll know who I'm talking about... ;-)
Of course I'm sure any similarities are purely coincidental...
