Sorry to be a pest...but if you clip the side mounts of your D ring on your twins where do you clip the neck off...waist D ring?
You'd have to clip your reels off on the backplate??? But if you have 2 sidies...reaching reels is not easy...you have 2 reels and by touch/feel you know which is which? 
I'm not critising in anyway...please don't take it that way...I really would like to know how you config your gear.

No by all means please ask, as we've discussed I'm as new to this as you and it's always good to bounce ideas as I seem to be continously modifying my gear. I only use one bottle a 7L 80% mix slung to the right. Front clips off on lower right D-ring, left D-Ring is used for secondary reel (wreck reel). Primary (attached to orange DSMB) is clipped to upper right D-ring and streamlined. However it may well be a better bet to clip it off on tank as well. Secondary DSMB & 1/2 mask in left pocket. Line cutter and secondary torch in right pocket.
I do have a 10L set up for a weak mix, but not used it as my diving has no need for this, but it came with some gear I bought. My kit was largely based upon the set up equipment of a trimix teckie I bought it off (he'd quit).
