It's not a fashion-statement, genius, it's a safety issue.  If I manifold and can't do shutdowns then I need some way of doing it.  It's called "inverting".  That's why.  Until then, I'll stick with twin independents "the right way up".

I'm sure "PADI Rescue Diver and some BSAC" goes a long way where you come from, but where I come from, Royal Navy and the Engineers - and the firemen who "run around a bit" - are a tad higher up the diving/BA food chain.  Feel free to wander up to any representatives of the three and tell them you think they're ridiculous...
