| I have a wrist lanyard, and a retractable springy thing attached to my BC. I can leave it dangling in front if I want, but tend to prefer to hang onto it.
Regarding entry, I would recommend getting it handed to you as even with a back entry (not always possible), the sudden change in pressure can distort the o rings and cause a flood.
