This is not acceptable and if that is the case you should insist on speaking to a senior officer, ideally their reporting officer (this may or may not make a difference, if they've been told they're being made redundant they may no longer care).

I'm sorry Juz, this post wasn't directed at you, you didn't say you were abusive and I hoped I didn't imply that you were but others freely admitted it and that's what I objected to and wanted to put the alternative PoV. I hope not to offend anyone but I like to treat everyone as I'd like to be treated myself whilst still expressing myself. If anyone else dislikes my view, I'll shut up right now and apologise for upsetting them but not for holding the views I do.

You reasonably expect help and advice in a polite and respectful manner and the fact that you didn't get any is, in my view, not acceptable. If I were you I'd contact them again and, if you get the same snash, insist on taking it higher.
