I never had sinus problems until I started diving, then I got a reverse block and since then have had problems when diving. I use the sudafed spray before diving and keep it and some sudafed tabs handy for after diving should a block occur.

Most unpleasant experience has to be clearing my sinuses at 25m because I was getting a lot of pain on ascent. Let a little sea water into your mask and snort, not pleasant but if you find yourself in that situation its a better solution than ascending and causing more damage/pain
