| I find the strap just goes round with about 1cm to spare. The Suunto is much longer and more robust.
It should be possible to lengthen the strap by attaching a new strap to the existing one using the holes to rivet the two together. Brass rivets would be the best.
It does seem a shame to mullah a perfectly good strap though.
My replacement unit is so far behaving itself......
