nope, it's a heartfelt belief. My own, which is why I ended it with IMHO.

I deliberately didn't mention any party allegiance or support in my post. My post is in support of the democratic process.

If you don't vote, you have no right to complain about the elected government. Lots of people in Tower Hamlets complained when Derek Beacon was elected, and when challenged, admitted that they had not gone to vote.

There's a saying I've heard, and used, in business and personal life. If you keep doing what you are doing, you will keep getting what you are getting. That applies in politics. Your 1 vote may make the difference between a BNP candidate or someone else. If you didn't vote, you are guilty of letting that candidate get in. That is why voting is a duty and not a privilege.
