| I tend to get seasick quite easily, but seasickness pills taken half an hour before sailing usually stop me feeling too bad.
The last time I was sick was earlier this year, I forgot the tablets. Got on the boat and set off -about 40 minutes to the dive site and I was feeling quite rough when we moored. I thought I'd be fine when I got in the water, so I jumped in and carried on with the dive. All was fine until we were making our way back, following the reef at 5-6m. The swell was bad enough that I could feel it even at that depth and I soon started to feel ill. Sure enough, my breakfast made a reappearance. I remembered to keep my reg in my mouth, and the fish seemed to be grateful for the free meal. When I surfaced, I was waiting to climb back aboard and getting thrown around a bit, and I threw up again.
I drank lots of water when I got back on the boat, and managed to eat some bread while everyone else was tucking into the impressive looking lunch that had been provided. I managed to make the second dive without throwing up, but only just.
The worst thing was when I got back to the dive centre and I was washing my kit, and I found a slice of regurgitated mushroom stuck in the reg's exhaust. Presumably the diced carrot was small enough to fit through the slots in the exhaust tee.
