A little off topic, but i've found that with the "standard" Buddy DSMBs (self-sealing ones) the webbing strap on them is probably too long. Might just be the way I do it, but I found that with the strap that long I ended up with that and the line loose, just waving around ready to catch on something.

The solution: I found that shortening the strap makes it so much easier. If you don't want to cut it, then just fold it back on itself a few times and keep it in place with a little bit of line or a cable tie or something. My strap is now just a little longer than the width of the DSMB. [Edit: see attachment for picture]

If anyone does have problems with too much loose line when they're deploying, this really does seem to work really well.
