New gloves

I think I've realised why my hands are getting cold on dives, using the same gloves that kept me nice and warm all last winter.

Last winter I would pour warm, steaming water out of my gloves after a dive. This winter - well, ask the guys who were at Wraysbury last weekend how much I was swearing after the dive. I thought I had frostbite.

It appears that my 5mm Scubapro armortex kevlar thingies are no longer 5mm. The neoprene has compressed to about 2mm in places! (I just realised this after trying on a new pair in the dive shop today).

So... time for new gloves. I was thinking of either a new pair of the Scubapros (and work on the basis that they'll be a yearly-replacement item) or some of those legendary three-finger penguin mitts.

Then I noticed these - with the wool lining I've seen good comments on.

Has anyone tried them? Any good? (by good I mean good down to 2-3c or so).

Any other recommendations welcome too. I've been happy with the S'pros until recently.
