you'd have to go seriously deep, even at 90m you'd have 2kg or so of lift available, It'd be slow but it should get up even with that amount of lift. If you were rthat worried you could always give it one breath of exhaust bubbles first. The free diving boys reckon that a 0.4l bottle suffices to lift an unconcious freediver from depth fast.
