| You should have the same weight. You need to be able to keep your stop at the end of the dive when you are running out of gas (worst case scenario). You don't want to find yourself underweight and pop to the surface.
Might be worth looking at a V-weight or stainless steel backplate to try and remove some of the weight off your belt
