I use both

Having had an auto dump jam shut I fitted a cuff dump as well as redundancy. I did this because pulling the neck seal when you have a shed load of deco to do is a very bad idea. (I froze and was nearly hypothermic) I tried the roman salute but that just didn’t work soooooo I fitted a cuff dump. Its fine and very easy to service before every dive (just pop the diaphragm in your mouth )

I do get the occasional wet arm and it’s a PITA with Video or camera work as you can’t switch it off but its not so bad that I would get rid of it. If you horizontal ascend keeping the hands below shoulder height it’s absolutely no problem with a reel.

The only fitting problem is cutting a neat hole in the suit.
