Hi Kirky

The arctics are very warm, warmer than the xenotherm model which is like very good thermal underware. They are not as warm as the weasle extream but much thiner, you could get away with them under a membrane in the summer quite easily but would still need the undersuit in the winter.

I have just got a the arctics for both myself and the wife from Mark Powel, cheapest around, and plan to use it as above.
