| Just come back from Oban - gave up a day early after the Force 8+ winds of yesterday and today :o( Bloody BBC, the weather has been "changeable" apparently - would have been nice they'd have mentioned that it would be "changing" from giant hail stones on Monday to storm force winds on Thursday and Friday! :o\ Someone else had a boat out and couldn't physically motor up from Puffin to Oban against the wind and current, gave up and came back... with our little 50hp engine RIB we decided not to bother trying, so spent the day in the pub instead :O)
Tuesday and Wednesday were nice anyway, good dive on the Breda on Tuesday (after the first mis-dive on someone's lobster pots... note for the future: remember to pack the GPS and Echo Sounder before leaving Coventry... or even just looking up the transits would have done!). Oh, and a conger got a three-pronged spear in its head on the Golden Gift too, poor thing (wasn't me, I just pointed it out!) ;o)
