| Excellent report, Mark! I've got to agree with you about the diving on the west coast of Ireland. Just one point: I've been to the southwest three times and always flown with Ryanair. It's cheap if you book in good time and you can take your dive gear (minus tanks and weights, of course) for an extra £20 or so per leg. Kerry Airport is very convenient for the southwest and you can rent a car at the airport by prior arrangement. I really don't see the point of enduring a bumpy ferry crossing and hours of driving on miserable roads. But perhaps that only works if you live in southeast England.
