I don't know the layout of Cyclone and I have never had a main deck cabin. However last year on Hurricane I just asked the office at Tony Backhurst for a midship cabin, I had read some reports about the cabins and concensus was cabin 8 was a good one, so I asked them for that. When we boarded and the cabins were allocated we got cabin 8, so that worked for me.
This year I have been informed that the 4 maindeck cabins are twins and I have asked for one of those, Paul has asked for 2 maindeck cabins for himself and his mates.
The office informs the guides and you can normally get what you ask for.
So if someone has been on Cyclone they might be able to advise on which is best.
I have ended up with the ones near the engine in the past and they are very noisey.
