Well I dont agree with what they did, if you knew the Kedge you'd agree, its always rough water out there, constant currents and its about one and a half miles out to sea and then there where spotted 400 metres beyond that again thats almost two miles off-shore.
I dont know anything about kayaking but if the weather started to turn I'd make for shelter.
