I did my basic nitrox with PADI - it was mostly theory combined with two dives (basic questions prior to dive relating to theoretical MODs etc). Did my advanced nitrox with TDI where it was a whole different kettle of fish - the intructor gave the briefing including maximum depth (which was not to be exceeded). Then he pulled loads of different stunts ('come and check this out', out of air etc) all designed to make you break your dive plan. Much more comprehensive with TDI in my opinion. PM me or Bren if you want details of a top TDI instructor in the Lake District!
