I had the same problem with mine - kept coming up and whacking me in the dish. I taped a fishing weight to the handle which solved the problem.

Just out of interest anyone have the problem with the switch mechanism undoing itself? I had a recurring problem that it would work on the surface but then if I switched to the other bulb and back again it wouldn't work. I had to open it up and tighten the screw every time. I know a few other folk with this same problem.

I did eventually come up with a permanent solution to both the above problems - I bought a Halcyon HID!
