The fact that you have slagged off a skipper on a public forum is outrageous and needs addressing.
Firstly, YOU WASN'T THERE. So everybody is clear, the diver had a run time of 60 mins. 10 mins after this the coast guard was contacted. We did not wait an hour. We had a language problem at first and didn't understand what the French operator was asking , once we understood we gave them everthing they needed to know (I don't know what you are insinuating??) Regarding your comment about having something to hide, again I don't know what you are insinuating. The information supplied by the coast guard was a little incorrect. The "Rolnik" (many thanks to them) shadowed the diver until we picked him up, they did not take him on board. I do not want to discuss our diving as it is neither yours nor anyones elses business
Now my turn on the public forum as I know the skipper doesn't use the internet
1. There are a few hard boats in Dover and I have been on most of them. They are so far in front of you that you haven't got enough years left to reach their level. I understand that one of them taught you how to shot a wreck recently!
2. If you are that good why were you on the pontoon listening to radio traffic and not out there diving!
3. If you continually big yourself up on the net, you have a lot to live up to.
4. Considering you are fairly new to the business, talking the talk but not walking the walk isn't making you a lot of friends.
5. If you spent as much time practising shotting the wreck as you do bigging yourself up and slagging people off on the net you would be good at it by now!!
"Dovers best diving bar none"........BULLS**T!!
TOP TIP. Stop bigging yourself up, get off the PC, Get off your high horse and get the shot in the wreck!!
Please don't make out these incidents of yours didn't happen.......I have all the dates. I can put my hand on my heart and say the other skippers are excellent and thoroughly professional but they don't shout about it.
Remember, people in glass houses........... |
Hi and welcome to YD , Pete.
Nice post for your first,, normally a intro would be nice.
Answers to your input.
1). If your talking about NEPTUNE, he only told me how HE shoot's wrecks and stays anchored into them , ( this is not my perferred method )
2). I was on the waiting pontoon, same one as the lifeboat. you know where the charter boats pick up thier customers, chatting to my divers ( another NEW dive club ), as they packed up and took off thier kit after diving the POM.
3). Dover has had a good safety record for diving , with the amount of divers diving here and credit where credit is due, the divers are safe. But i think soon , there will be a show of leaflets on display everywhere .
4). Chartering , YES, and everyone knows that....... So, because i had the money in the bank to buy a dive charter company with a boat , so what ?
being ONE of the busiest charter boats and skippers in Dover, think i'm doing something right .
5). I am good at it , NOW ,,, wanna ask my deck bitch for proof ? My method is one of where i go up tide and the shot is dropped...... I don't use or like the method of dropping a anchor / grapple which is attachted to the boat and drag into the wreck.. I'm not saying that way is right or wrong , but i won't USE it.
Now, i can't think of another FULL TIME dive operator at Dover, as i am THE only one.
Thats why i offer lots of ON site services and spares to MY customers or my friends.
Rgds.
