HM Coastguard - Diving Incidents

9th August 2005 – Brixham Coastguard.

A diver made a rapid ascent after a dive on the Rosehill from the dive boat Sea King. He was showing no symptoms of DCS but was given fluids and oxygen on board the dive boat. Medical advice was sought via Brixham Coastguard. Specialist advice from the DDRC was that evacuation and recompression were not required unless symptoms developed and the diver could go home. The diver and dive boat skipper were both happy to follow this advice.
