11th August 2005 - Portland Coastguard

The skipper of the dive vessel Swanage Diver reported that a diver from the adjacent dive vessel MARY JO had made a rapid ascent and missed stops while diving the wreck of the Kyarra. The diver was airlifted by Coastguard Helicopter R-WB to the Poole landing site where it was met by a dive doctor and Poole Coastguards. The diver was taken to the recompression chamber by Dorset Ambulance.
