I dont think that non divers would enjoy Lochaline. There is nothing there other than a sand mine and a sports club and a hotel. Most of our club find a second night out in Lochaline as rather boring.
Where as Oban has much more to offer. If you are only doing a few days then a couple of dives on the Breda could be done. Then the wrecks on Ruadh an Ridire, the puffer etc, then the thesis. also some at loch melford.
We use the hardboat Haljmar Bjorge, it is fantatatic but it is not really a day boat as it provides full accomodation and meals. The food is of a very good hotel standard.
We are using the HB in a months time. The trip being booked up 11 months ago before the last one finished.
