They both accept other agencies qualifications and crossover to 'equivilant' levels. Its not like for like as both seem to require more if you are trained elswhere but thats another discussion.

What you need to know is that you can't crossover to PADI as an instructor from BSAC. You have to do the Instructor Examination. You can cross in the opposite direction with minimal additional training required so that might be the best bet.
