| There's a good shore dive on Catalina Island, just in front of the casino. It drops of deeply to around 30m and has huge giant kelp fronds with loads of little orange garibaldi fish.
When we were there, some years ago now, the dive shop just near where the ferry landed used to hire trolleys to move your kit as well as tanks and weightbelts.
