Bren,

I saw this the other day in the Arab News (or "Green Truth" as it is known out here).
I all honesty chamber access in Saudi has never been easy due to the strange way health care is provided in the "Magic Kingdom". Those of us who are covered by MODA (Ministry of Defence and Aviation) have access to the chambers at Jubail (in the East )and south of Jeddah (in the West) but the beurocracy means that it will take many hours to get in.
The simplistic answer has always been "Don't get bent" and this has caused a style of diving to evolve out here which minimises the risk of DCI despite the fact that many of us have to fly on the day of diving!!!!!
It would be nice to think that this publicity might help to improve the situation. However simply fixing the chamber will not be enough they also need hyperbaric physicians and technicains to run it and they are few and far between. Anyone needing to see a dive doc at the moment has to go back to the UK.
I will be interested to see what if any response there is from DAN
