Sorry Taza, I do appreciate that £340 odd quid for a light is a lot of money. It easy to forget that sometimes
I had a look round for other "umbilical" primary lighing systems, looking at companies like Fami, Greenforce, hoping (and expecting) to find lower prices than this. I was unable to do so (

http://www.divingniknaks.com/ carries the main competition to Halcyon), and you are into the "several hundered pounds" bracket.
