Sorry Taza, I do appreciate that £340 odd quid for a light is a lot of money. It easy to forget that sometimes

I had a look round for other "umbilical" primary lighing systems, looking at companies like Fami, Greenforce, hoping (and expecting) to find lower prices than this. I was unable to do so (http://www.divingdirectshop.co.uk/ has both Fami and Greenforce, and http://www.divingniknaks.com/ carries the main competition to Halcyon), and you are into the "several hundered pounds" bracket.

As ever, if you want to try one of these Halcyon lights out, and see if you thing they're worth the expense, I'd be more than happy to help, with no obligation, of course.

Or you could buy Bobs most excellent light
