Don't know if i've got this right ?
Take it your pda is connected to your cradle gps via wires ie it doesn't use the blue tooth?
If the Bluetooths on on the pda and hence it may be using the comm port causing a conflict and stopping it communicating with the gps
Appreciate you may have done this already but have you tried switching off the bluetooth on the pda,ie is it showing ON? and see if it frees up the right comm port ?just a thought.
