I would suggest you download the software direct from the Uwatec or Scubapro web site.
http://uk.uwatec.com/software/software_smarttrak.asp You should have no problems running smartrak on XP. Unless you have Macafee antivirus software. Also if you have a mobile phone link via infrared system on your PC it can stop the exchange of info. The xp should set up the download straight away.
