Well thanks for your help, I really just needed an idea of what "might" have happened so I can try and advise him.

As for the containated air theory, I filled the bottle, then filled mine straight after it and I felt fine so I dont think it was it.

As for the O2 kit, I now know better and will always ensure its around.
