Another option for you:
When I started, I bought an Oceanic CDX-5 / Alpha 7. Those regs consistently got rated highly, often as well as regs costing twice the amount. They've done 200-odd dives since then with patchy servicing and little maintenance
I have had absolutely no problems with them whatsoever and I am still happy to use them.
The Alpha 7 has turned into the Alpha 8 now - I imagine that they're basically the same.
With an Alpha 8 octopus included that's £210 from SDS.
