I have one of these as a work provided PDA. It uses GPRS and Windows Mobile 5 so I can use it as a mobile phone and e-mail device. The e-mail works really well and tends to arrive on the device quicker than on my desk PC. That's the boring stuff.
The good news is that it is also WiFi so when I get home at night it hooks up to my wireless broadband connection and gives me pretty high speed Internet. That means I can be sat in the room pretending to be working when I'm really trawaling through YD. The YD site has PDA specific pages that are just as quick to navigate as on a desktop PC.
If you don't have WiFi at home the GPRS is OK but you wll notice a difference in speed compared to broadband. If you are thinking of WiFi in the future then definitely get a PDA with WiFi.
P.S. it's pants as a mobile phone though as you have to use soft keys to dial. |
