| If NO usb devices are located, it is possible your bios might be set with the usb ports disabled.
RH click My Computer, go to properties then choose the Hardware tab - then see if the usb controllers exist, if not then maybe the bios does have the on-board ports disabled.
Of course if you do have usb controllers, listed and are using ports on the front of the PC it could be they were never plugged in when it was assembled, I have had one of those!
