I am trying to organise an event based in the Medway Towns in Kent on a weekend in the not too distant future.
We intend to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Relief in memory of my mother who recently passed away. All proceeds from the day will go to Macmillan via the Macmillan UK 4x4 Challenge which I have entered, which takes place in March 2007. (

We intend to hold a family fun day based around diving, with underwater games for qualified divers, pool games for swimmers and those that don't want to get wet (surface aqua golf), try dives and displays from dive equipment manufacturers and shops, hopefully culminating in a prize raffle.
Food and drink facilities will be available and the event will all be indoors.
I would be most grateful if you could respond to this thread to try and gauge the interestif people would be interested in taking part/supporting this type of event - a kind of "show of hands" at the moment.
Can you please respond to this thread if you would like to come/take part or suggestions if you have experience of organising this type of event. Please advise if you don't want me to update you on the event arrangements as they progress.
