| just screw the stem in the valve base finger tight then wrap it with something to protect it ( Cloth or insulation tape and nip it up with a Pliers.
Put the "o" ring on the valve, remove the plastic or rubber knob and screw in to the top of the bottle.
Now using a bit of wood ( Not to dammage the valve) Knock the valve with a hammer and the wood between the hammed and valve to tighten the final bit.
do not dammage the spiggot the knob fits to.
Re install the knob.
