| Some of the magazines have a free CD which has the s/w you need. Sadly the stuff we use at work is abit expensive. See if you can get a free/demo version of AutoCad (2D), an old version is often available free as an intro to a new(er) version. We are on Acad 2006 here, plus a full blown 3D suite (PDMS) which you wont want.
I dont do house plans by the way, sorry.
