You get a box of cable, pull out as much as you need, cut it, expose a small amount of the cable cores by cutting back the excess plastic sheaf, push them into an RJ45 end, make sure all the coloured cores are up to the edhe of the RJ45 end and crimp.
For straight through connections - i.e switch to PC (as opposed to switch to switch cross overs) just make sure the colours are in the same order when you do the other end. | Yes .... that makes sense and rings some memory bells ............ I can do that ......
