| Imported post Hey Guys,
Just thought I'd post this as I know a few of you suffer a bit with the old 'Land-lubber's Legs' (sea-sickness) when on a hard-boat or RIB. Davey Willo once got it stood on terra firma in the middle of Sedbergh, so we hand-cuffed him to a lamppost and that seemd to do the trick! ;)
Seriously though, my wife has been known to 'pebble-dash' the odd dhoni, RIB and hard-boat in her time on our various tours, and so once, whilst in South Africa, she went to see the local SCUBA-doc.
Without hesitation, he announced that what she needed was 'Stugeron' (the brand name) tablets. The active ingredient is 'Cinnarizine'.
In SA, you can buy them in 25 mg tablets. In the UK you can buy them over the counter at Boots (without prescription) in 15 mg tablets and they DO work - my wife swears by them and she now takes them on every dive trip we go on.
Hope this helps. |
