I agree that 3rd party insurance is important but has anyone ever heard of a situation where it was actually used? We discussed this in our club committee a while ago with regards to admitting non-BSAC divers. In the end, we decided to make them join BSAC as, being students, it's dirt cheap anyway and our university demands that we have the cover. If we weren't a university club (with the student discount), would it be a major issue to not have this insurance?
