| Imported post Let's be honest, the UK being, as she is, an island, and there being in excess of 100,000 wrecks (dating from pre-Roman times to the single-skinned mince that went down last weeks) surrounding her coastlines (we won't talk here about the Podsnap or the Stanegarth et al), it is simply inexcusable that we haven't picked either an equi-distant (travelwise) wreck dive site or a wreck just so worth doing that we can't all decide on a date, assemble, hop on a fleet of boats and get in amongst it. Ranges various and to suit.
Now I know some of us have training commitments, family, money and a whole host of other issues standing in the way of us getting together, but seeing as we've acquired over 200 new members since May 2002, then I reckon it's time that we had a proper group meet for a wreck (and if we must a scenic) dive.
What I'll need from you all is a suggestion of preferred months and dates when you'll be free and willing (all the above committments taken into consideration) to travel and form a proper Troop Gig - a la previous group tours to Hodge Close, Wastwater and St Abbs - and get together for a choice of wreck diving.
Please remember that this will probably require two days of your time (whether you stay the night or go home and come back again is your call) as we need to spend at least one night on the sherry having large doses of banter and chewing the fat. Partners are welcome.
What say you chaps/chapesses? The floor is yours. Come on, let's get it together and have a ball. For all those that won't/can't make it to some of the more global/exotic dive sites, this is a golden opp to have a laff with the troop you love.
Looking forward to it guys. |
