Whats not on our web site yet is some of the projects we are just initiating, some of these are:-
1. Adopt a wreck in conjunction with the Nautical Archaeology Society. We are adopting the Loanda, partialy because we dive it a lot (its our intro to wreck and channel diving site) plus as a trade ship going to South Africa their is lots of stuff on her (18m to the top decks, 20 to the top of the goodies in the upper holds, 25 to the seabed and lower holds. Clay Pipes and beads at 22m). Also we have the ships plans and she is owned by several of our club members.

2. Later i intend to adopt the Dover Patrol (There is a war memorial to these on top of the cliffs just along from the Bleriot memorial). These are the Armed trawlers of both world wars that patrolled the Dover straights / Dover barrage (minefield). There are about 15 of these ships on the seabed in 25-35m around Dover (1/2-5 miles out) in a variety of conditions. Many still have guns in place and empty ammo cases on the deck (plus a lobster or 2 until i get there).
3. We are also aiming to track down U12 which was Sunk at the start of WW2 off Dover (She is a small coastal sub). She was nominated by the Germans to be a nominal war grave for all the U-Boat crews who died. Bit of polatics here, she did not kill anyone. But although her position is unknown she is a war grave. I've done a lot of reasearch on this and have a few ideas.
Have a look at our year planner, we dive every Sat and Sun from vis starting in may to sept. Site's are decided on the day subject to the prevailing wind. Slack 4 hours after HW, not many drifts done. On Neaps we get an extra slack at 2 hours before HW.
Don't worry about the Ferries they could not hit a diver in a mill pond (Joke)
Guest divers welcome we have 4 ribs available.
Regards
Paul
