My mate is a Sikh and stricly speaking they should wear a turbine and grow a beard in order to look like the geezer that started the thing off. My mate grew a beard for his wedding and shaved it off before the reception - just so as the wedding ceremony photos were "correct" to please the family. They should also carry a dagger ("Kris") and have Home Office OK to do so in a public place.

My mate does none of these, just as I do not go to chapel on a Sunday even though I am "officially" a methodist..

This only affects those people that take the whole nonsense seriously - I hardly think the Sikh cabin crew would be allowed their Kris. Besides the issue is of dress code - if BA have a corporate turbine (or hijab for that matter) their staff are free to wear it.
