If you rig two stages plus left you need to have Ali stages. Steel will put you off balance.
If you running bailout for a CCR your better off using stages left and right unless you have BOV plumbed in direct to a side slung.
In a poo fan interface you need to just grab the reg on the left and stick it in your gob there is no time for pissing about identifying tanks with a C02 hit or a monster loop flood. If your presently bailing out to inboard it doesn't matter so much but in the future you will have to start bailing out to off board and then it will become a problem. If you use a BOV then you can plumb it into the deep bailout mix and run all tanks left as you should have time at the 21m (or what ever) to carry out proper tank identification prior to switching.
When diving in a team OC then stages left is fine if thats what you like. I like the idea of a clear side to access other equipment but I found two or more stages left interferes with my access to the diluent valve on the CCR but Janos does it and he doesn't seem to mind.
The rigging shown on the link above is neat and I am in the process of altering all my tanks to match.
